The Shearer's Shed

The Shearer's Shed

Masterton, Wairarapa

The Shearer's Shed is an easy 7-minute drive from Masterton in the Wairarapa.

The converted woolshed is rustic, stylish, and perfect for families or friends who want a country-themed escape with all the bells and whistles.

The woolshed has three bedrooms each with a king-sized bed. There is one ensuite, a main bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a total of four toilets. A fully equipped kitchen has a large island, connected to a spacious lounge area. Large sliding timber doors and materials used from the original woolshed bring a wonderful 'woodsy' scent to the living space. Click here for a glimpse inside!

Designed as the ideal hang-out space, there's plenty do to. Lounge on comfy leather couches, head to the games room for a game of pool or soak in the twin bathtubs with a glass of bubbles in hand.

Admire the countryside views across the nearby lake as the swans float past or lambs - bounce away in the Spring!

  • Your hosts

Your hosts at The Shearer’s Shed are Emma and her father, Henry.

Henry is a retired farmer and self-taught handyman and builder. Having lived on the property for five years, he originally renovated the woolshed as a temporary home for the kids - who came home during covid lockdowns and holidays.

With the unique and historic vibe of the woolshed, Emma, Henry's interior designer daughter had the idea of sharing the space as guest accommodation so it could be enjoyed by others. They look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful part of the country!
