Green Antler

Banks Peninsula

***Note that Green Antler only accommodates couples during the months of June, July, August and September***

The Green Antler glamping site is set on a deer farm in Little River on Banks Peninsula - just 50 minutes from Christchurch city.

The large, family-sized safari tent, sits on a sunny, north-facing site overlooking native bush, farmland and hills. The stylish interior includes a queen-size bed, a separate bedroom area with bunk beds, a lounging area and an indoor dining space. A wood-burning tent stove makes the space warm and cosy.

A separate building, a few steps from the tent, contains bathroom facilities including a shower, basin and toilet.

Enjoy quality family time, exploring the campsite, the beautiful township of Akaroa and the delights of the Banks Peninsula. At the end of the day relax in the wood-fired hot tub set at the front of the elevated site, perfectly positioned to take in the spectacular sunsets over the surrounding countryside.

When night falls, gaze up at incredible star-filled night skies together. Jump straight from the hot tub, into the cosy, feather down beds, and listen to the peaceful sounds of the countryside as you drift off to sleep.

  • Your Hosts

Tony and Andi Cochrane and their daughters Mia and Harriet are your hosts at The Green Antler.

The family have lived on Banks Peninsula for 19 years and love this special part of New Zealand.

Andi is a school teacher at a local school and Tony, is a corporate business manager, director and deer farmer. They started their glamping site when they found a site on the deer farm that was too good not to share. It had a combination of native bush, steep hills and amazing views. That, combined with the fact that it was so close to Christchurch, Akaroa and Little River made it the perfect spot to host visitors.

The name 'Green Antler' came about by combining Andi's love for growing plants, and Tony's passion for growing antlers!
