Covid-19 cancellation terms
Our campsites and huts are open and operating safely under the green, orange and red settings within the Covid-19 Protection Framework. However, there will be times over the coming months, where bookings are affected by COVID-19 public health requirements.
Please read our COVID-19 terms outlined below carefully before booking your stay.
1. If you are unable to travel at the time of your stay due to a localised lockdown or boundary restrictions:
You’ll be given the option to move your booking to a later date within 12 months*. You must advise us within 24 hours of the lockdown announcement by emailing [email protected]. If you do not advise us within 24 hours, standard cancellation penalties will apply.
2. If the accommodation you have booked is unable to host you due to a localised lockdown:
You will be entitled to a refund or postponement. We will advise you if this occurs.
3. If you have been required to self-isolate, are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have a positive COVID-19 result at the time of your stay:
You’ll be given the option to move your booking to a later date within 12 months* **. You must advise us as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]. You will be required to provide evidence of a test. Without evidence of a recent test result (positive or negative), standard cancellation penalties will apply.
*If you move your booking to a period that has a higher nightly rate (for example from a Winter period to a Summer period) you must pay the difference in the nightly rate. If you move your booking to a period that has a lower nightly rate, we'll credit you the difference.
**If you notify us within 48 hours of arrival and your booked stay included food, we will retain the cost of the food and transfer the remaining credit to your new date.
Please Note:
We are following Government guidelines under the Covid-19 Protection Framework and the above circumstances are the ONLY circumstances where the COVID-19 terms apply in place of our standard booking and cancellation terms outlined below. For example, we do not offer penalty-free date changes or cancellations in the event that you decide that it is too risky to travel.
If you wish to cancel or postpone your booking to avoid the risk of either contracting COVID-19 or having to self-isolate as a close contact during your trip, make sure you let us know at least 21 days prior to your booking to avoid penalties.

Covid-19 vaccination policy
Each of our hosts has made an individual choice about whether or not they require guests to be vaccinated.
If vaccination is required at a particular campsite or hut this will be clearly noted in the summary details of the accommodation at the top of the listing page. It will also be covered in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the Canopy Camping website listing page for that accommodation.
Please note, you will need to check the vaccination requirements of the accommodation before booking. Any cancellations made due to vaccination status will be subject to our standard booking and cancellation terms outlined below.
