Maggie at Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park

From $170 p/n

We think there's demand for stylish and appealing glamping accommodation in a campground setting. The feedback was great last year, so we're giving it a go again this summer!

Maggie is our beautifully decorated, roomy and comfortable 1972 Crusader caravan. From 20 December 2016, she'll be available to rent at the iconic Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park, 35 minutes from the Bay of Plenty summer hub, Ohope.

The idea is that if you book Maggie, you'll be able to just turn up and enjoy her. All the stuff you need for a comfortable camping holiday is provided. You'll just need to pack like you're going on a beach bach holiday, add some bath towels with your beach towels and throw in an extra chilly bin stuffed with provisions. Everything else will be provided.

Maggie has one large cafe seating area that converts to a very large (bigger than super king-size) bed, and a second seating area that converts to a small double. With gas heating, Maggie is warm and toasty - even in the middle of winter. Plenty of windows keep the space inside, light, bright and airy on hot days.

Maggie has no kitchen facilities inside, but she does come with her own Weber BBQ, kitchen equipment, and all the accessories you need for comfortable camping.

As well as being located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, the immediate area has plenty to keep you busy, including water sports on the scenic Ohiwa harbour, amazing bush walks, the Motu Trails Cycle Trail and even a nearby glow worm grotto. Parents will be pleasantly surprised and delighted to learn that during the peak summer period, Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park also runs a kids holiday programme (woohoo!).
