  • your hosts

Your hosts at Bellbird Barn are The Cummins Family.

The Cummins family have had a strong family history and connection to the area since 1870.

Bellbird Barn is a family retreat and a restoration project to revive the native flora along the river reserve.  The regenerating Tōtara forest and the remnants of what used to be 1000 acres of lowland Tōtara forest are particularly special to the property. The trees are home to 40+ species of birds. They follow the river down from the Waihi Gorge.

With open hearts, the Cummins Family invites you to share in the serenity, peace, and unparalleled beauty that Bellbird Barn so generously offers.
